I've been hearing a lot of people say that the rock & roll music scene in Tucson is dead or dying. Nothing could be farther from the truth though. Given, a limp in our stride developed with the closing of Skrappy's just before the holidays, but dying we are not. A glance at my email outbox this week can tell one that. I sent 50+ emails this week to bands, booking agents, and venues all in an attempt to strengthen our weakened status. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm putting my everything into this.and some other things are suffering because of it. So friends, I apologize for my low profile for the last three months. I've kept up with a few of you, but the rest I find myself writing emails to with the common theme of it's been a while. And it has been a while. Some of you I haven't seen since mid-April or even mid-March, and even then it was at a show. It's been a very "independent" time for me I suppose. We will catch up soon though, and knowing me, it will be at a show. link it up | | 8:31 PM AZ |
