First day of the Jones Soda tests and I have already exceeded my rations. I was going to limit myself to one a day and be able to drink Jones for twenty days. I, however, am a weak, weak man. Reviews go as such:
Bug Juice - Sort of a mix between lemon-lime and Alka Seltzer. Delicious in sips, but definately not made for guzzling. Fortune: There is new hope for projects you had almost given up. Oh how true that is (yes, I've got a secret).
Cherry Soda - Classic cherry flavor, though not as biting as most similarly flavored drinks. Very smooth and just enough sweet. Fortune: You will soon experiance great happiness. Bring it on! I can take it.

I now own so much Jones Soda I don't know what to do with myself. Twenty bottles of it in fact, and all flavors that either I haven't tried yet, or haven't had in a long time. So now, after a trip to Phoenix and a stop at Pop The Soda Shop, my fridge is stocked and I am in heaven. Flavor reviews are coming, you can count on it.
Also, the show I was scheduled to play at Bookman's tomorrow has been rescheduled. Please don't go to see me. New dates will be posted soon.

I don't mind eating out alone. Even without a single thing to occupy my time I can get to a restaurant, enjoy my meal, leave a nice tip, and leave a happy man. Tonight was no different. I left my apartment, wearing my favorite jacket (yes, it's 80 degrees out and I'm wearing a jacket...I like how it looks on me), and headed for Denny's. It's no secret that I'm pertty into these sorts of restaurants; the kind where the waitresses call you "Hun" and will eventually get to know you by name if you go often enough (also, the type of eatery that is cheap enough that regular attendance is possible).
It was something that I hadn't done in a while (most recently was wintertime if I remember correctly), but there I sat--in my semicircle booth--all alone. I was content though. Nothing to read, nothing to do with my hands, no TV or radio to distract me: it forces me to think, to get to know myself a little better. And what did I learn about me tonight? I learned that I'm OK by myself. I don't need to spend all my time in the company of others. It's a good thing to know.
Two points of interest for the night (it's about 1:45am): First is that I wore my hair "down" all day--no gel, no combing, no bothering with it. I'm considering letting it grow out again. Anybody remember when I cut my hair in October? The New Nick Martin ring a bell? Well, that Nick is dead now, replaced by a mix of old, and new, and even newer me. I'm a little more cynical than my October self, but that's how I'm best. The second point of interest is that I'm pulling out all of my 7" records and listening to them side-by-side, song-by-song. It's very fun...lots of emo, but that's good by me. I've always thought about making a mix tape of all of the songs, but it might have to be a double-tape. I've got quite the collection now.
Well, enough ramblings for one night...
